dssp software package provides protein secondary structure assignment based on 3D structure, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dssp
dssp is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dssp package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dssp *
You will get with dssp package name, version, architecture and description in a table
